What kind of game is Super Mario Run?
Super Mario Run is a game where Mario runs across numerous worlds, seeking to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser and restore the kingdom.
Can I play Super Mario Run for free?
The game is free to download.
You will be able to download and enjoy a portion of Super Mario Run for free, and you can also enjoy all of the game content available after paying a set purchase price.

Note: Internet connectivity required to play; data charges may apply.
Can I play Super Mario Run with friends?
You can add friends, compete against them, and see Friend Lists.
Can I play Super Mario Run offline?
You cannot use it offline.
How old do I have to be to use Super Mario Run?
All ages can play this game.

About the System

What devices is Super Mario Run compatible with?
(For iOS)
This game is compatible with iPhones, iPod touches, and iPads running iOS 12 or higher.

(For Android)
This game was compatible only with Android devices running operating system 5.1 and later.

Operation is not guaranteed on all devices with the Android operating system listed above or higher installed. Certain specifications and features of your device may affect the game's performance.
Note: More information on your specific device's operating system may be available soon.

Note: The following issues occur on devices using OpenGL ES 2.0 (some devices sold in the past).
・ The game may run slower and loading times may take longer.
・ The app may crash while the game is running.
Change in iOS version support
(Addition for 6/30/2023)

This is an important announcement for iOS users.

An update for the Super Mario Run game is planned to occur in Fall of 2023, which will change support for iOS devices. After the update, iOS devices with an operating system of iOS 11 will be unable to download or update the game. In addition, previous versions of the game will become unplayable.

If you are using iOS 11, you may want to consider updating to the current OS.
*The day and time of the update is subject to change.

Compatible versions after update
· iOS 12 or above

■ Reason for Change of Versions
To continue offering the best service possible, we can no longer support the versions noted above. Therefore, you may need to update your device if you wish to continue playing.

■ For Those Changing Smartphone Models
If you plan on changing your device model, follow the steps below to access Super Mario Run save data.

1. Accessing save data
If Super Mario Run was previously linked to a Nintendo Account, you can use the same save data on another device using the same device platform.
To check how to link a Nintendo Account, refer to Linking a Nintendo Account below.

2. For those who have purchased the full version Super Mario Run
You can confirm your purchase status through the Apple ID you used during the purchase. Note that this account is not your Nintendo Account. Please keep the following in mind.

・ If the new device is an iOS device:
Use the same Apple ID that you originally used to purchase the game to download and install Super Mario Run on your new device. Then, launch the game and tap Restore Purchase from the purchase screen in World Tour. This will allow you to restore your purchase status without repurchasing the game.
Note: There may be a limit to the number of devices on which you can restore purchases.

・ If the new device is a different device platform than your old one:
The purchase status cannot be carried over between different device platforms. Please be aware that you will need to repurchase the content in order to play all courses.

■ Linking a Nintendo Account
If you already have a Nintendo Account, select Link from Menu in the game to link to it.
Please link Super Mario Run to your Nintendo Account on your new device (on the first launch of the game) after you have already linked Super Mario Run to your Nintendo Account on your old device.
If it is already linked, Menu then My Nintendo will be displayed.

Also, be aware that if you go to Settings, About This App, and then choose Delete Save Data, all save data will be erased and cannot be recovered.
The environment required may be subject to change in the future.

Change in Android device support
(Addition for 6/30/2023)

Super Mario Run's supported Android devices will change in conjunction with an update in Fall 2023. After the update is distributed, Android devices with an operating system lower than 5.1 will be unable to download or update the game. In addition, previous versions of the game will become unplayable.

If you are using an Android OS lower than 5.1, you may want to consider updating to the current OS.
*The day and time of the update is subject to change.

■Reason for Change for Android Devices
To continue offering the best service possible, we can no longer support the OS versions noted above. Therefore, you may need to update your device if you wish to continue playing.

■How to Check Your Android OS Version
To check your current OS version, from the home screen of your device select Settings, Device Information, and then Android Version.
Note: Different devices may display information differently or have items in different locations.
Note: Please refer to your device's official site for information regarding specific specifications, including OS updates.

■For Those Changing Smartphone Models
If you plan on changing your device model, follow the steps below to access Super Mario Run save data.

Regarding certain devices with Google Play (addition for 4/3/2019)
We have confirmed that the game no longer runs as expected on certain devices using Google Play, including the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 and the Google Chromebook. Specifically, devices using certain processors (x86 and x86_64 achitecture) will no longer be supported.

Although these devices may still run Super Mario Run, please be aware that the game may not perform as intended.

These devices include:

・Samsung Chromebook 3
・Google Chromebook
・HP Chromebook 11 G5 / 11-vxxx
・Asus ZenFone 2 (ZE551ML)
・Asus ZenPad 10 (Z300C / Z300CL)

・Acer Chromebook 15 (CB3-532)
・RCA 7 Voyager
・Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 -1050F
・Lenovo YT3-X90F/Yoga Tablet 3 Pro
・Other Android OS devices using the processors noted above.

Which languages are supported?
You can check which languages are available by going first to Settings under Menu, then accessing Options, and then selecting Language.
In what countries is Super Mario Run available?
Please see "Availability by country" on Super Mario Run's official website for a list of the countries in which it is available.

As of May 31, 2023, you can no longer choose Russia as your country when you create a new Nintendo Account or change your Country/Region in the account settings.
Additionally, you can no longer choose Russia as your country when you start the Super Mario Run game or change your Country/Region in the game settings.
However, please note that players whose Country/Region is currently set to Russia will still be able to play Super Mario Run.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation on this matter.
Super Mario Run isn't working properly!
Please try restarting Super Mario Run.

Note: Take care not to accidentally delete the Super Mario Run game by mistake.

If restarting doesn't help, you can try tapping Having trouble? on the game's start screen, then tapping Redownload Data, and then restarting the game.

Frequently Asked Questions

Super Mario Run cannot be accessed because the User Agreement or Privacy Policy has changed (support code 804-3400).
If you have linked a Nintendo Account to Super Mario Run, you must log in to your Nintendo Account (https://accounts.nintendo.com/) and accept the updated Nintendo Account User Agreement before you can launch Super Mario Run.
I can't log in to my Nintendo Account (support code 804-3904).
You may be able to solve this issue by deleting your browser's cookie information.

- If you are using an Apple device:
Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data

- If you are using an Android device:
In your browser's menu, go to Settings > Privacy > Clear Browsing Data.
The steps for clearing cookies may differ depending on the Android device, so refer to the device's manual and website for further information if necessary.
I can't relink a Nintendo Account I linked in the past (support code:804-3905).
If you want to link a Nintendo Account you linked to Super Mario Run in the past, you will need to link that account when starting the app for the first time after a fresh installation. Once the account is linked, the data from your Nintendo Account will be transferred to the device.

*You cannot link to a Nintendo Account that you previously linked using the in-app Link option.
*If you launched the app and bypassed the Link option during your first time launching it, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to start over from the beginning.
Note: Be careful not to select Delete User Data from About this App in the Settings menu.
My user data has been carried over, but not my purchase status...
If you're using the same Apple ID or Google account you used to purchase the game originally, there is no need to repurchase. Launch the game, go to World Tour, and tap the Purchase Screen button, Next, and then Restore Purchase to restore your purchase status.

If you're using a different Apple ID or Google account, although your Nintendo Account user data can be carried over, your purchase status cannot. You will need to repurchase the game.
I can't purchase the full game on my Android device (support code 804-9174)...
It's possible you have not registered a Google Account to your current device.
Go to the settings menu on your device, tap Accounts, and then Add account to register your Google Account.
For iOS: Music is not playing when I press the Play button within the game.
In World Tour, Remix 10, and Kingdom Builder, if music does not play upon pressing the Play button, try the following:

1. Make sure Super Mario Run has permission to access the Music app.
To do this, go to Settings > Privacy > Media & Apple Music. If the setting for Super Mario Run is Off, switch it to On.
2. Make sure music can be played in the Music app.
For Android: The music playing through the music app stops when I try to continue via bookmark data.
If the music you're playing via the music-playing app stops when you reopen Super Mario Run, try the following:

1. Swipe down on the notification area to display the notification drawer.
2. Press the music app's Play button in the notification drawer.

Note: On most Android devices, swiping down from the top of the screen while Super Mario Run is open will display the notification drawer. If this doesn't work, please contact the maker of your device.
